About business

In addition to manufacturing and selling clothing dyes, functional coloring, and organic synthesis intermediates, Yamada Chemical also undertakes contract synthesis utilizing mass production technology.
Although its products are never seen by end users, Yamada Chemical's customers are BtoB companies (business-to-business transactions), and Yamada Chemical's products are processed into various products such as information/electronic materials and optical materials.

In recent years, Yamada Chemical has been focusing on the development of functional coloring, and in particular, dyes that absorb specific wavelengths are used as optical filters for displays and heat shielding materials by taking advantage of their light control properties. Functional coloring are now being considered for a wide variety of fields and applications as key materials that support information and electronic devices.
Remarkable advances in information science and technology, such as AI, IoT, self-driving mobility, and smart houses, will bring us more convenient and comfortable lives. Yamada Chemical takes on the challenge of creating new products using its own technology, including next-generation products such as digital sensing technology that supports the information society, and creates high-value-added products such as functional coloring.

Product Introduction

〇 Functional Coloring
"Functional Coloring" are dyes that exhibit new functions in response to a small amount of external energy (light, heat, electric field, pressure, etc.). In addition to the inherent coloring properties of dyes, we have developed specific properties such as "photoselective absorption (light control) properties, photoconductivity, dichroism, fluorescence, sublimation properties, chromism, nonlinear optical properties, photoelectric conversion properties, photoelectric conversion properties, etc." Indicates the nature. Yamada Chemical focuses on the development of functional coloring and provides specific wavelength absorption dyes, photochromic dyes, and fluorescent dyes. These dyes are used in a wide range of applications, including display devices and optical recording materials in the electronic information field.
〇 Dyes
Yamada Chemical has focused its efforts on the development of synthetic dyes, which are the origin of organic synthetic chemistry, and has produced dyes for textiles of excellent quality. Our dyes exhibit excellent wool dyeing properties and boast outstanding stability in terms of fastness and reproducibility. Its uses are wide-ranging, including various types of uniforms and formal wear, and it has earned the trust of customers as a dye of the highest quality.
In recent years, dyes with unique functions have also been released on the market, such as anti-transparent dyes and heat-absorbing dyes to prevent transparent photography of swimwear, fitness wear, etc.
〇 Leukotriene Dyes
Leukotriene Dyes change their structure when the lactone ring in their molecules reacts with acids and bases, causing them to repeatedly develop and discolor. Utilizing these functions, it has been used for pressure-sensitive paper (carbonless paper) and thermal paper. Leukotriene Dyes come in a wide variety of colors and are currently being applied to a variety of temperature-indicating materials and rewritable materials.
Yamada Chemical provides Leukotriene Dyes suitable for customer applications from our accumulated compound library.
〇 Custom Manufacturing
We perform various types of contract manufacturing based on the synthesis technology and development capabilities we have cultivated over the years. We have a track record of manufacturing diazotization, sulfonation, chlorosulfonation, nitration reactions, alkali melting, etc., and can handle everything from medium-sized prototypes to on-site mass production scales. We propose cost-competitive manufacturing recipes through process management and issue resolution by skilled engineers. We have a wide variety of analytical equipment, and aim to provide products of stable quality by creating compounds that meet customer needs and ensuring quality through a specialized inspection department.
