◆ Motivation for joining the company
When I was a student, I majored in biochemistry and researched plant metabolism and natural pigments. When I first started job hunting, I wanted to work for a chemical manufacturer that supports the foundations of society. However, while pursuing my research and job hunting, I realized that ``I can't imagine a world without color,'' and that's when I came across Yamada Chemical.
I wanted to work for the company I joined for a long time, and I thought that not only the business and work content, but also the working environment and the atmosphere of the employees were important. The employees I met when I toured Yamada Chemical's factory were all kind and wonderful people, and I felt that I wanted to work for this company, so I decided to join. There hasn't been a gap since I joined the company, and most of the people are kind.
◆Current job
I belong to the Production Technology Section of the Manufacturing Department. Her main job is process control. The job involves checking whether the chemical reactions at the manufacturing site are occurring properly and whether the work is proceeding without any trouble at the manufacturing site, and making adjustments if there are any abnormalities or problems. I also do a variety of other work, such as examining manufacturing procedures for new projects, implementing the process from development to the actual mass production manufacturing site, and holding meetings for this purpose. Before joining the company, I thought that my work in process control was to evaluate the finished products. However, in reality, we manage the manufacturing process from the preparatory stage to the final process. Also, I get to see the field at the same time as my own experiments, so there's a lot to do. Work in the field often comes along just when I'm thinking of doing an experiment.
◆Work satisfaction/experience stories
I didn't have much experience with organic synthesis, so I didn't know how to assemble experimental equipment, but thanks to the careful guidance of my senior colleagues, I've been able to see my own growth. Although I have little experience and knowledge and sometimes have a hard time, I am able to engage in a variety of tasks such as improving manufacturing methods and new contract manufacturing, which I often find rewarding.
The Production Technology Division is also considering scaling up for mass production. When scaling up from the laboratory scale of the development stage, various issues arise. There is a great sense of accomplishment when you solve each problem by cooperating with various departments and successfully complete production.
◆Future vision
The Production Technology Division works in collaboration with various departments, so we believe it is important to improve communication. I would also like to gain more experience, gain specialized knowledge, and become familiar with the manufacturing site. We would like to propose optimal manufacturing methods that emphasize not only better quality but also workability and safety.
We aim to become experts in manufacturing process management, capable of responding quickly to commissioned manufacturing requests and proposing manufacturing recipes that meet the quality required by our customers.
◆Charm of Yamada Chemical
I think the appeal of our company is ``harmony and respect,'' which is also reflected in our company motto. I get the impression that even the veteran employees are cheerful people who are easy to talk to and listen to their opinions. Therefore, I think it's an environment where it's easy to seek advice when you have a problem with work.
I also feel that the company is small, in a good way, with a small number of elite employees, and that each individual has a great deal of discretion in their work. I believe that being able to experience various things will lead to personal growth.

I believe that if you have specialized knowledge of organic synthesis, you will be able to work immediately in the Production Technology Division, but even if you join the company like me with only basic knowledge of organic chemistry, there will be no problem if you study after joining the company. I feel it.

◆How to spend your holidays
After entering the workforce, I got a medium-sized motorcycle license, and my hobby is motorcycles, so I often go touring with friends or alone. I also like exploring restaurants, eating ramen, and going to delicious izakaya restaurants, so I usually go out on my days off.
