◆ Motivation for joining the company
When I was a student, I worked part-time at a restaurant and became interested in cooking, and I thought that cooking and manufacturing organic compounds were similar, which led to my interest in cooking.
After joining the company, I realized that the idea of how to work efficiently, accurately, and safely during work hours was similar to that of cooking. Preparation is important in both cases, but in manufacturing operations, it is difficult to proceed without learning chemical knowledge and how to use various equipment.
There are still areas in which I lack knowledge and experience, so I work with the guidance of my senior colleagues. I am studying every day and working towards becoming a reliable senior when I am in a position to teach.
◆Current job
The department I belong to manufactures products by conducting chemical reactions in large reaction equipment, and I am in charge of manufacturing functional pigments and contract synthetic products.
The main work involves preparing materials, loading materials into reaction equipment, monitoring chemical reactions, and removing reactants. As we proceed with our work, we are always conscious of following work procedures and making sure that there are no problems with the progress of the reaction. During the first mass production in the manufacturing department, related departments work together to ensure that all work is completed safely, paying close attention to equipment specifications of production equipment and handling of raw materials. Maintenance of production equipment is also an important job, so we divide the maintenance work into two parts on a regular basis.
Recently, there have been many new projects in which we are manufacturing a wide variety of products, and we are increasingly reconfiguring production lines and equipment to suit the properties of the materials being handled and manufacturing conditions.

◆Work satisfaction/experience stories
I feel fulfilled when I am able to proceed with the work smoothly while thinking on my own. Manufacturing operations have rules to maintain safety and quality. Under these circumstances, it is up to the worker to make preparations to proceed with the work efficiently and to select the appropriate tools for each occasion. Using the experience and knowledge of each worker, we discuss and decide on the optimal flow, and when the day's work is completed according to that plan, I feel a great sense of accomplishment. Also, by exchanging opinions with each other, you can incorporate ideas from new perspectives. I also aim to improve my own skills by stealing the experience and knowledge of my seniors.
◆Future vision
I have only recently joined the company, so I still often receive instructions from my seniors. You must be very careful when handling dangerous chemicals and have a thorough understanding of the work involved. First of all, in order to become a full-fledged manufacturing worker, I would like to acquire the experience and knowledge that will allow me to proceed with my work safely. To do this, it is necessary to know the characteristics and characteristics of the chemicals we handle, and to understand the meaning of each task. When manufacturing on a large scale, it becomes difficult to visualize chemical reactions and manufacturing conditions, so I want to be able to understand the situation and make appropriate decisions.
My future goal is to improve my skills, give appropriate instructions to my future juniors, and become a worker who is trusted by those around me.
◆Charm of Yamada Chemical
If you tell us what you noticed during manufacturing work that you would like to try, we will let you try various things. I think this kind of thing is only possible because we are a company with about 100 people.
What's more, it's an environment where you can easily get cooperation from kind seniors around you, so it's easy to actively try new things. I think that's the charm.
◆To everyone who will join the company from now on
I'm sure you've heard this many times, but when I became a member of society, I once again realized how important it is to be a news worker. When you work for a company, you will inevitably work with people of various ages. Since experience levels differ, it is sometimes difficult to do the assigned work alone, but if you can report, communicate, and consult frequently, it will be easier to get cooperation from those around you, and the work will proceed smoothly. can. It can be nerve-wracking to talk to your superiors, but let's all have the courage to do our best as members of society.
◆How to spend your holidays
On my days off, I often travel, hang out with friends, and go to live concerts. Last year, I went to a cave in Gifu Prefecture to explore caves.
Lately, I've been running every day to try and run a marathon.
