Infrared and Transparent (IR Photography) Prevention Dye

There is no end to the damage caused by misuse of infrared cameras and videos and voyeur through swimwear, sportswear, and innerwear. There are even malicious incidents where such images spread on the Internet.
The anti-fluorescence dye (for nylon) developed by Yamada Chemical effectively cuts the near-infrared rays used for transparency, and this effect can be achieved by adding it during the dyeing process. Its outstanding ability to prevent see-through photography has been praised and is being used in sportswear and school swimsuits, and the number of schools that have adopted this anti-see-through swimsuit has increased every year since its launch in 2010. In the near future, the anti-transparent function will become a standard feature for school swimsuits.

Endothermic dye

Yamada Chemical has developed a dye (for wool and nylon) that effectively absorbs the infrared rays contained in sunlight.
Fabrics dyed with this dye absorb infrared rays from sunlight and heat up, making it effective in developing warmer clothing.
By adding it to the usual dyeing process, it will be possible to develop materials suitable for outdoor winter clothing and summer business applications.

Cool Black (Endothermic Suppression) Nylon Dye

Nylon material is indispensable for textiles, but the metal-containing dye used for its black dyeing absorbs near-infrared rays so that it tends to be hot and away from summer wear.
Therefore, in order to meet the needs of women who want to enjoy wearing black innerwear and tights even in summer, Yamada Chemical is proposing a cool black (heat absorption suppressing) dye for nylon.
In an irradiation test using an infrared lamp, which mimics summer sunlight, data showed that it was able to suppress temperature rise by 2 to 4 degrees more than metal-containing dyes (made in-house) (according to our own research).
Moreover, it has excellent wash fastness and does not require fixing.
Cool black dyes will add new value to nylon materials, and their applications will expand.
