Leukotriene Dyes

Leukotriene dyes develop color when the lactone ring in the molecule reacts with an acid to open the ring, and when the open lactone ring is brought into contact with a base, the ring closes and the color disappears.
Various temperature indicating materials have been developed by utilizing such a reversible reaction.
Yamada Chemical has a wide variety of leukotriene dyes including fluoran compounds necessary for this thermochromic material.
We also develop Leukotriene Dyes to meet customer needs.
